Sunday 25th April 2027
The world-famous route takes you past London’s most iconic landmarks including Tower Bridge and Big Ben, finishing the final stretch towards Buckingham Palace. Experience the world’s most popular marathon as spectators pack the pavements to cheer you on.

Charity Places
Sadly, we were not successful in the Charity Ballot for the 2027 Marathon. This means that the only way to run in support of Good Shepherd is through your own place or ‘Marathon My Way’ (virtual event).
Own Places and Ballot Places
If you’ve been successful in the public ballot, we’d love you to support Good Shepherd! We can support you throughout your training journey with fundraising advice, promotional materials and regular newsletters. You’ll receive training t-shirts and a breathable running top/vest.

Why run for Good Shepherd?
Good Shepherd has been supporting vulnerable and marginalised members of our community in Wolverhampton since 1972. We deliver services in a way that makes people feel valued and always try to hear their voice.
In 2025, almost 1,400 people accessed our service and thanks to ongoing support from people like you, we can continue to provide food, practical support, group activities and 1-1 support for people that need it most.
We value lived experience and believe everyone has the capacity to change and achieve their full potential.

“I have been overhwhelmed by what the Good Shepherd stands for. I was welcomed with big smiles and now I am smiling at the world again”
