Mitch Lane, known to thousands online as @mealsbymitch, is swapping his budget-friendly family recipes for a 13,000 feet skydive to raise vital funds for Good Shepherd in Wolverhampton.
Mitch rose to fame on TikTok during lockdown, sharing simple recipes to feed families for £5, while cooking for his three children. Self-taught in his kitchen in Wolverhampton, Mitch is the author of two best-selling cookbooks.
Mitch is now using his platform to give back locally after becoming an Ambassador for Good Shepherd, a Wolverhampton based charity supporting people experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantages.
As his first fundraising challenge since becoming an Ambassador, Mitch will be taking on a tandem-skydive at Tiltstock Airfield on July 11th 2026. Mitch Lane said:
“It’s going to be a huge challenge for me, I’ve never been keen on heights so I’ll be definitely facing my fears with is one!
“That being said, it’s a massive honour to be part of this fantastic charity; I can’t wait to get stuck into the ambassador role to help raise vital funds and use my platform to raise awareness of the Good Shepherd’s work.
Funds raised from the skydive will help Good Shepherd continue their mission to end homelessness, support recovery and create pathways out poverty.
