LERO accreditation for LEAP

The Good Shepherd’s LEAP (Lived Experience into Action Project) gives people with lived experience of homelessness, addiction and mental health challenges the opportunity to volunteer at the Good Shepherd and provide brief interventions to prevent homelessness in Wolverhampton. Participants also pursue a structured programme of support and training that also includes a level 3 diploma in adult health and social care with a view to securing employment.

LEAP, now in its third year, has recently obtained LERO, Lived Experience Recovery Organisations, status from the College of Lived Experience Recovery Organisations (CLERO). The status recognises that LEAP is a programme that promotes an evidence-based approach predicated on Lived Experience.

LEAP also complies with the National LERO Standards and aligns with CLERO’s underlying principles and shared values.

We look forward to being part of the LERO community alongside other recovery organisations and helping to shape the National Recovery agenda.
