Local Comedian Joins Charity Skydive

Wolverhampton comedian Jack Kirwan, most well-known for his Gary Powndland character, is the latest person to sign up for the Good Shepherd Skydive, raising vital funds for the Wolverhampton charity.

Jack, a proud Wulfrunian born and bred in the Scotlands is also an ambassador for the Good Shepherd, supporting and promoting their work across the local community.

He will be joining fellow ambassador Mitch Lane (also known as Meals by Mitch on TikTok) as they take on a 13,000 feet tandem skydive at Tilstock Airfield on July 11 2026.

Speaking ahead of the skydive Jack said:

“As a proud ambassador for the Good Shepherd I want to do what I can to raise money and awareness for the charity. I’m looking forward to the challenge but absolutely terrified of heights!”

Funds raised from the skydive will help Good Shepherd continue their mission to end homelessness, support recovery and create pathways out poverty.

Lucy Cox, Fundraising, Grants and Development Manager said:

“We’re so grateful to Jack for taking on the challenge for Good Shepherd and for his continued support as our ambassador.

“Fundraising is vital for us to be able continue our work in the community, so if you would like to join Jack and Mitch on the Good Shepherd Skydive please sign up. It really will make such a difference to the lives of the people we support.”
