Good Shepherd is proud to stand with The Haven Wolverhampton, in supporting the 16 Days of Activism campaign against Violence Against Women and Girls to help make our community safer.
Today marks the start of the campaign, 25 November – 10 December, with Orange Wolves led by the City of Wolverhampton Council.
Our Women’s Group which is run in partnership with Changing Lives Midlands, attended this morning’s flag raising ceremony at the Civic Centre to show our support in ending all domestic abuse and violence against women and girls.

Good Shepherd has also created a pledge, in collaboration with The Haven Wolverhampton, to take steps in the elimination of violence against women and girls by taking action.
In the next 12 months we will:
- Provide Good Shepherd staff and volunteers with specialised training from The Haven on recognising the signs of domestic abuse and in return, offer The Haven training on the services Good Shepherd delivers.
- Explore volunteering and training opportunities for women referred by The Haven, alongside outreach to raise awareness of the support and services we provide.
- Strengthen referral pathways between Good Shepherd and The Haven by improved signposting and mutual understanding of available services.
